The Training Of Mr. T.J. Pugglesworth IV

Lately I've been thinking about getting another dog. I had a dalmatian about 20 years ago, and I've just about recovered from that ordeal and think I'm ready to try dog ownership again. If I do get one, I'm leaning towards a pug this time. They seem like they'd be fun.

Anyway, here's Mr. T. J. Pugglesworth IV in the midst of his potty training. He is not amused.

I give newspapers another five years, tops, before they disappear forever. Once they're gone, how are we going to house train our dogs?

Drawn in Photoshop on the graphic tablet.

Here's the original quite different sketch of Mr. Pugglesworth. Once I got the idea to draw him being housebroken, I changed his arms to a more defiant pose. I didn't get the characteristic pug forehead wrinkles right in the sketch either.

  2. I would love to get one, but in these uncertain times, it's just not in the budget.

  3. that expression is priceless. you are rather good at the "not impressed" expression.

I think those new fangled ipads will be big enough to cover a puppy puddle.

  4. Thanks, Brad! As for that expression you speak of, it's the same one plastered across my face most of the time. Hey, we draw what we see, eh? Time to get rid of the mirrors in the house.

  5. He's fantastic! I love his expression. I've been wanting a dog/not wanting a dog for a little while. In the meantime I got a Betta lol. He doesn't like the leash much.

  6. Thanks, Dawn! I'm the same way-- some days I wish I had a dog, and then other days I'm glad I don't. I need to get rid of my carpets and put down hardwood floors before I get one. Carpet and dogs don't mix.
