The Times. Changin', They Are A

Good news for horror film enthusiasts! This week singer Bob Dylan finally completed his years-long metamorphosis into the late actor Vincent Price!

Dylan first announced the transformation in a press conference held October 25, 2003, the tenth anniversary of Price's death.

"I've always had a special affinity for horror and the supernatural," said Dylan, "and I'm a lifelong fan of the late, great Vincent Price. For my money he was the undisputed Master of the Macabre. That's why I'm announcing a brand new project that's very special to me. I feel that I've said everything I can say in the world of music, so starting today I am embarking on a massive new undertaking: I will attempt to morph myself into Vincent Price."

Dylan then stepped back from the podium and spun a protective cocoon around himself, completely encasing his body.

He has remained motionless in the cocoon for the past nine years as his body's various enzymes and chemicals changed and altered the very structure of his DNA.

This week observers were stunned when the cocoon began to rustle and a large fissure developed in its surface. After two days the cocoon split in half, revealing the steaming, naked body of actor Vincent Price.

"Greetings, citizens," chortled Price, in his somewhat sinister baritone. "It's wonderful to be back among the living!"

After drying off and donning his trademark velvet jacket and ascot, Price announced immediate plans to begin filming a movie featuring his popular Dr. Phibes character. The film, set for a Fall 2013 release, will be called The Return Of The Abominable Dr. Phibes.

  1. Amazing.
I'd like to nominate this for one of Bob's best (non-art) posts for 2012!
