We're Very Near The End Of Civilization: Spencer's Gifts

Welcome to a new feature here at Bob Canada's BlogWorld, called "We're Very Near The End Of Civilization," in which I'll be examining and spotlighting the many, many ways in which our once proud society is slowly winding down and self-destructing.

Last week, Facebook user Mary Numair spotted this charming t-shirt for sale in her local Spencer's Gifts store.

Yep, that's not a gag or a Photoshopped image, it's an honest to god real t-shirt that reads, "Grab America By The Pussy."

Welcome to Trump's America, everyone. Where vulgarity is the norm and civility flies right out the window.

The shirt, which is sold exclusively at Spencer's (ooh la la!), is of course a reference to Glorious Leader Trump's most famous quote.

The quote comes from a 2005 conversation Trump had with Billy Bush, whoever that is, which was captured on a hot mic during a break while filming an episode of Access Hollywood. During the exchange, Trump spots a particularly attractive woman backstage and brags:
"I’ve gotta use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. And when you’re a star they let you do it. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”
Our new President, ladies and gentlemen!

The photo of the shirt went viral of course, spreading across the internet like wildfire. Spencer's Gifts has responded to the backlash with a prepared statement, saying:
"The shirt was never meant to promote any type of abuse or attack on any person. The shirt originates with the comment made by the President-elect. The purpose of that shirt was to address that controversy and that news, and not in any way to condone that type of activity."
Really? That's what it's supposed to mean? Because to me it just looks like a tasteless shirt about grabbing pussies.

We're very near the end of civilization...

Don't worry, everyone, this'll all soon be over. It won't be long before our Glorious Leader Trumpy pushes China too far, and then we can all stand in our front yards and gaze up at the pretty, glowing clouds that shine brighter than the midday sun. And then the blast wave will hit, putting us all out of our collective misery,
