I posted this the past two years and I will continue to post it until the economy picks up. Sadly, I have a bad feeling we're going to see this post many more times before it's all over.
Tough times call for tough measures! Due to the still-stagnant economy (and
the fact that I'll be unemployed at the end of the month), I
decided to severely cut back on Christmas gifts this year. In order to
soften the blow a bit, I made this gift tag and attached it to the few presents I bought.
Santa was drawn in Photoshop on the graphic tablet, as well as the
sketchy green oval. Everything was then imported into InDesign, where
the text and the outer tag shape were added. Then I printed a bunch,
cut them out with an X-Acto, punched a hole in the side and tied them
to everyone's gifts.
Feel free to download it, print it and attach it to your own cheapskate gifts!
I sooooooooo need this, this year!
ReplyDeleteYeah, me too. Especially since I'm getting a big pink slip for Xmas.
ReplyDeleteTheir timing is wonderful. Jeesh. I hope you find a new job soon and that it is better than the last. Keeping my fingers crossed for ya.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Actually I've known it was going to happen for a few months now, so it wasn't a surprise. I've been using that time to look for a new job, but in this economy...
ReplyDeleteI've got a couple of prospects, but haven't heard anything definite yet.
