Attention all Doctor Who fans! As you all know, sometime around the middle of the upcoming season the Doctor will be dumping the Ponds in favor of a brand new companion, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman.
If you don't want to wait until December and you'd like to get a sneak peek at Ms. Coleman now, she has a fairly prominent role in the 2012 British/Canadian miniseries Titanic. As near as I can tell it's the story of a ship that runs into some sort of trouble at sea or something like that.
So what's Ms. Coleman like? Cute. Perky. Cute and perky. Don't be surprised if she decorates the TARDIS with Hello Kitty stickers come Xmas.
Titanic was written by Julian Fellowes, creator of Downton Abbey, another show I keep going on and on about. By the way, a missed opportunity: Downtown Abbey's first episode featured a subplot about the Titanic, in which two of Lord Grantham's relatives perished on board the ship. They should have included those two characters in this drama to tie the two series together!
