It's Log, Log, Log!

Saw this online today. From the fine folks at Wayfair, it's the Tustin "End Table." According to them, it can serve as a "unique seating option" or as an "occasional table." Best of all, it can be yours for the low, low price of just $215.99!

Yeah... it's a goddamned log, people. A log that's someone has convinced themselves is a table. You're paying nearly $200 for a log. A log that you could pick up at any lumber yard in town for ten bucks or less.

I could maybe see using this as uncomfortable seating around a rustic, rough-hewn wooden dinner table. But an end table? With that narrow, vertical shape? The first time some Karen in a weekend cabin sat her wine glass on this thing, it'd topple over in a second.

Sometimes I wish I had a time machine, so I could bring people from the 1800s to the present and show them what our world has become. I can only imagine what they'd think of the idea of someone paying such an outlandish price for an unshaped hunk of wood.
