Hi-Def Revelations: Planes, Trains And Automobiles

As regular readers of my blog (both of you) know all too well, Planes, Trains And Automobiles is one of my all-time favorite movies, I watch it every year, and even though I've seen it a good thirty times, I never get tired of it. It's also one of the few Thanksgiving movies out there, as that particular holiday doesn't seem to get much love from Hollywood.

This year I watched the film on blu ray for the first time, in glorious 1080p resolution. Even after all this time, the higher pixel count revealed tons of previously unseen details.

For example, during this viewing I spotted a borderline x-rated little detail in the iconic scene in which Nea Page and Del Griffith are forced to share a tiny motel bed.

If you look closely at the wall between the two characters, you'll spot a pair of grimy handprints on either side of the motel room "art."

I will leave it up to the reader's imagination to figure out how those got there!
