I don't know 'bout y'all, but this whole pandemic business is wearing me down. It's been going on for an entire year now, with no end in sight, causing record deaths, unemployment and forclosures. And we owe it all to the Orange Buffon Who Formerly Occupied The White House.
As if all that wasn't enough, I'm also growing very weary of having to wear a mask everywhere I go. Note that I didn't say I'm not doing it— I'm a staunch believer in wearing a mask and wearing it properly. I'm just tired of having to breathe through one for nine hours a day at work. I'm sure you all are too.
So in order to take our minds off of mask-wearing for a while, I thought I'd recommend some movies we could all watch together!
I know! Let's watch Mortal Engines, the 2018 fantasy epic about massive mobile cities battling in a post apocalyptic wastela... hold up. This is all wrong too.
OK, let's go with one of my all-time favorite films— 2015's Fury Road. It's the fourth installment in the Mad Max franchise, written and directed by George Miller. In this sequel/soft reboot, Max teams up with Furiosa, a fierce warrio... Oh, for frak's sake!
How about we sit quietly on the edge of our beds and stare at the floor till this is all over?
