I work in a typical office, surrounded by many other workers in cubicles. Although I'm grateful to have a job I like, sometimes the vocal din from the surrounding coworkers is a bit overwhelming. Not to mention odd. Thank the gods old and new for headphones and Pandora.

Woman #1: I am having the absolute worst day of my life!
Woman #2: Oh no! What's wrong? Did someone die? Were you diagnosed with something fatal? Did your dog vomit on the carpet?
Woman #1: My daughter's soccer coach was fired!
Yeah, I could see how that would put a damper on your entire day.
