That'll Do Summer, That'll Do

Seriously, Earth? I'd expect this kind of thing if I lived in Arizona, but I'm north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Maybe if I switch it in Celsius I'll feel cooler.

Things I've Noticed: Outdoor Vs. Indoor Temperature

Just something I've noticed about my home now that winter's here.

When I was a kid, every winter my dad was always telling us that 65 degrees was more than warm enough inside. He kept the thermostat under constant surveillance and wouldn't let anyone else touch it. I hate to admit it, but now that I'm paying for my own heat, I finally understand him.

I'll be OK as long as we don't have any more ice storms like we had here last year. It knocked my power out for FIVE days. That's five days with no heat, in February, when the high temperature outside was 17 degrees and the temperature inside my house hovered around 50. That was not a good time.

Who Left The Oven On?

I saw this ominous forecast this morning on my computer. Ah, summer in Indiana. Sweet, breezy and deadly.

By the way, that 101ยบ temperature can also double as the humidity around here.
