Lately I've noticed a lot of women at work wearing fur vests like this. Apparently they're all the rage this fall. On a cold day like today, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting nine or ten people wearing these things in the hallways.
Unfortunately for these devotees of fashion, every time I see someone wearing one of these things, I can't help but think of this.
"Fur BAD! Friend GOOD!"

Fashion BAAAAD!
Lately where I work I've been seeing a lot of women wearing fur vests like this. I mean a lot. Every day as I walk through the building I pass nine or ten women wearing these things. Apparently
they're all the rage right now, and very much in style.
Unfortunately every time I see one of these vests, I can't help but think of this.
At least we know where fashion designers are getting their ideas these days! Can't wait to see the striking new vampire cape, perfect for those chilly office cubicles. Complimented of course by the stylish and practical gill-man skin boots.

Commander Furfington Of The 128th Glurg Squadron
Despite his relatively diminutive size (approximately 3' 5") Commander Furfington was a ruthless officer and a formidable strategist, conquering every solar system in his path.
Sure, I said to myself, draw a character with soft, silky fur. It'll be fun, I said. It'll be easy. It'll look really cool, I lied to myself. Seventy five revisions later, I finally had a version of his head that I could live with.
Drawn in Photoshop on the graphic tablet.
Here's the original sketch of the Commander. I added shoulder pads to the final drawing because the shoulder area just didn't look right.
