Go ahead, have a sip of my potion! Don't worry about the calories, it's DIEt! Get it? DIE-it!
Yes, it's jokes like TV horror hosts used to tell.
The character is a vector drawing, done in InDesign. I imported him into Photoshop to add a scratchy, painterly background and a grunge texture on top of everything.
Love it, and the joke.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Happy Whisk!
ReplyDeleteYour art inspires me. Can't wait to get a good tablet to draw on. Tried the Pen and Touch Fun, or something it was called. But I want one that I can draw directly on the tablet. I want to be able to sit at the table or on the couch, while I draw.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, great pictures as usual. So so fun.
Thanks, Happy Whisk! The thing is, when I do a vector drawing I usually use the mouse, because vector drawing (for me anyway) involves clicking points and moving the little curve handles. I only use the tablet when I do a bitmap drawing.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to have a Cintiq too (the kind you draw on directly) but they're a little out of my price range right now. OK, a lot out of my price range.
Yeah, I saw some of the prices. Yow. Too high for me, too. The one we tried was 200 and even that was a bit much.
ReplyDeleteHe looks fabby! I love his goblet :) the scratchy texture is wonderful as well!
