Happy Birthday to actor Tom Baker, who turns 87 years young today!
Baker's arguably the best Doctor of them all, as he played the role for a whopping seven seasons, from 1974 to 1981. He brought a surreal, alien quality to the role which for my money's never been topped.

Oddly enough, today's also the birthday of another famous sci-fi physician. DeForest Kelley, aka Doctor McCoy, was born January 20, 1945! Sadly, Kelley passed away in 1999. Today would have been his 76th birthday.
