Clara will be debuting sometime during the second half of the upcoming season, after the unfortunate departure of the Doctor's current companions the Ponds.
So far nothing at all is known about Clara, whether she's from the past, present or future, or if she's even human. For the record the Doctor has had companions who've been from the past before (Victoria and Jamie for example) and even a few aliens (Romana, Nyssa, Adric and Turlough come to mind).
Wherever or whenver she's from, it looks like the Doctor continues to like 'em young!
It also looks like the Doctor's rockin' an all new outfit. He's apparently turned in his "Geeky College Professor" look for more formal late 19th or early 20th century garb.
Hurry up and bring on Season 7!
