For the past couple of weeks I've been seeing this all over the internet— it's the latest in workplace management propaganda bullshit, called "Quiet Quitting."
Despite how it sounds, it doesn't have anything to do with an employee silently leaving their place of employment. Instead it's how bosses are now describing workers who "do the bare minimum" at their jobs, rather than going above and beyond and taking on extra tasks.
Yep, you read that right— management's now actively shaming and demonizing workers for doing exactly what they were hired to do.
That is some classic 1984 Doublespeak® right there. Up is down! Left is right! Good is bad! War is peace!
Fuck right off with that shit.
Fair Warning: Any member of management who accuses me of Quiet Quitting is gonna get a swift punch in the dick— regardless of their gender!
